Questions, bugs and feature requests for Tezhip go to cihatsalik1@gmail.com. Tezhip is made by one person, so a clear description — your device, whether you were drawing, gilding or exporting, and a screenshot or the exported file — gets a fix out fastest.

What makes the gold "real"?

A Tezhip gold stroke is not a yellow colour. It is shaded as metal: the highlight moves across the leaf with the device's orientation, each of the six finishes scatters light differently, and the gilded layer sits above your ground so the colour underneath is never turned to metal. Tilt the device and the stroke changes; that is the point of the app, and it is also what the Live Photo wallpaper records.

Why did my stroke land on a new layer?

Pick a gold brush and Tezhip puts the stroke on a gilded layer, making one if there is not already a current one. Gold has to be shaded as a surface, so it cannot share a layer with flat paint. Your lapis ground keeps its colour, and the gold sits above it the way leaf sits on paper.

Can I change the symmetry after I have drawn?

Yes. The symmetry is a fold applied as the drawing is rendered, not a set of stamped copies. Switch from 8 turns to 16, or to a band or a tiling, and the strokes you already made re-fold into the new setting. The change is a normal undo step.

How do I make a Lock Screen wallpaper that shimmers?

Start from a wallpaper canvas — it is already the exact Lock Screen size of your iPhone or iPad — then export with "Shimmering gold" on. Tezhip writes a Live Photo whose gold sweeps with light as the Lock Screen wakes. Save it to Photos, then set it from Photos as your Lock Screen wallpaper with Live Photo turned on.

Is the 8K export upscaled?

No. A drawing is kept as the record of your strokes, not as pixels, so an 8K export is drawn again at 8K on the GPU. Nothing is enlarged from what you saw on screen.

Does Tezhip send anything over the network?

Once. On first launch the app sends a single anonymous diagnostic message with the device model and name, iOS version, screen, hardware, locale, time zone and app version. Nothing about your artwork, photos or usage is included, and nothing is sent afterwards. Drawing, gold shading and every export run on the device. The privacy policy describes the message in full.

What is free, and what does Tezhip Pro open?

Drawing is free: every Ebru, calligraphy and inking brush, the Tezhip Gold set in the burnished finish, and still wallpapers up to 4K. Tezhip Pro opens every gold motif, all six finishes, shimmering Live Photo wallpapers, shimmer videos, 8K export and the full symmetry catalogue. It is offered weekly with a 3-day free trial, annually, or as one lifetime payment.

How do I report a bug in Tezhip?

Email cihatsalik1@gmail.com with your device model, iOS or macOS version, the app version shown in Settings, and the steps that produce the problem. A screenshot or screen recording makes it far quicker to fix.

How do I restore a purchase?

Purchases are tied to the Apple ID that made them. Sign in with that Apple ID, open the purchase screen in the app and use Restore. If the restore does not complete, email cihatsalik1@gmail.com with the date of purchase.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are issued by Apple, not by the developer. Use Apple's "Report a Problem" page at reportaproblem.apple.com, or the refund flow in the App Store.
