Tezhip: Gold Mandala Art
Privacy Policy
Tezhip draws, stores and exports your illumination entirely on your device. The only thing it ever sends is one anonymous diagnostic ping on first launch.
Overview
This privacy policy applies to the Tezhip app (the "Application") for iOS on iPhone and iPad, created by Cihat SALIK (the "Service Provider"). The Application is offered as a service and is intended for use "AS IS".
Tezhip is a studio for Ottoman illumination — gold brushes, mandala symmetry, ebru marbling and cut-reed calligraphy. Your artwork, the gold and symmetry settings that produced it, and your exports are created and kept on your device.
Your Artwork
Every drawing is stored locally on your device as the record of the strokes you made, together with its layers and settings. Stroke rendering, the gold shading that reacts to tilt, undo history, previews, wallpaper crops, Live Photos, shimmer videos and 8K exports are all computed on the device by its GPU through Metal.
Your artwork is never uploaded to the Service Provider's servers or to any third-party service. There is no account, no sync and no cloud backup inside Tezhip, so the Service Provider cannot see, retrieve or delete what you draw. Anything that leaves your device leaves because you shared or exported it yourself.
Photo Library Access
Tezhip asks for permission to add to your photo library, and only to add. It uses that permission when you save artwork, a wallpaper, a Live Photo or a shimmer video to Photos. Add-only access does not let the Application read, scan, index or upload your library.
If you bring an image into a drawing, you choose it through Apple's system photo picker. The picker hands the Application that one image and gives it no access to the rest of your library.
Device Motion
The gold in Tezhip is shaded from the device's own orientation, so the highlight sweeps across the leaf as you tilt. Those motion readings drive the drawing on screen while you look at it and are discarded immediately. Nothing from the motion sensors is recorded, stored or transmitted.
First-Launch Diagnostic Ping
The first time you open Tezhip, and only that once, the App sends a single anonymous diagnostic message to an endpoint operated for the Service Provider at api.pushmark.app. It reports the device model and device name as set in iOS Settings, the iOS version, the screen size and scale, the processor count and memory, your locale, language and time zone, and the app version and build.
It carries no account, no advertising identifier, no device identifier that persists across reinstalls, and nothing about your artwork, your photos or your usage. It is sent once per installation and never again — the App records that it has been sent and makes no further network requests. No other screen, brush, export or purchase in Tezhip is reported anywhere.
If your device name includes your own name, that name is part of the message. You can change it in Settings → General → About → Name before first opening the App, or block the request entirely by launching the App with no network connection for its first twelve seconds.
Data Stored on Your Device
Drawings, layers, masks, undo history, palettes, brush and gold settings, symmetry settings, wallpaper presets, exports and your app preferences are stored locally on your device. A shared app group container holds what the widgets need to draw. Purchase and subscription state is provided by Apple's StoreKit. This data is not transmitted to the Service Provider.
Analytics, Advertising, and Accounts
Beyond the one-time first-launch ping described above, the Application contains no analytics or tracking SDK. It shows no third-party advertising, does not require you to create an account with the Service Provider, and does not sell your personal information. If analytics or similar tools are added in a future version, this policy will be updated to describe them.
Purchases
Tezhip is free to draw in. Tezhip Pro — which opens every gold motif, all six finishes, shimmering Live Photo wallpapers, shimmer videos, 8K export and the full symmetry catalogue — is offered weekly with a free trial, annually, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. The Service Provider does not receive or store your payment card details. Apple's handling of purchases, renewals and restores is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
Children
The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through Tezhip. The Application draws and stores everything on the device and requires no account; the only message it sends is the one-time, non-identifying launch ping described above.
If you believe information was collected from a child inappropriately, contact the Service Provider at cihatsalik1@gmail.com.
Security
The security of your on-device artwork depends on your device passcode and biometric settings. The Service Provider recommends keeping iOS up to date and using the device security features offered by Apple.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating this page and the "Last updated" information where shown. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
