Support

Questions, bugs and feature requests for ReadPace go to cihatsalik1@gmail.com. ReadPace is made by one person, so a clear description — your device, the reading mode or exercise you were in, and the file that caused it where an import failed — gets a fix out fastest.

Does reading faster mean I understand less?

That is the question ReadPace is built to answer for you rather than hide. The baseline assessment times a passage and then asks five questions, and speed and comprehension are stored and charted as two separate numbers — never blended into one score. If your comprehension drops as the pace rises, the app shows it and the lessons tell you to slow down. No claim is made that you will double your speed.

What can I import, and why was my book rejected?

PDF, EPUB, Word (DOCX), ODT, RTF, Markdown, HTML, CSV and plain text, plus web articles by link or share sheet, pasted text, and photos or printed pages turned into text on the device. DRM-protected books cannot be imported: ReadPace detects EPUB encryption and stops, and it contains no code to remove copy protection. Buy or export an unprotected copy and it imports normally.

Do I lose my place when I switch reading modes?

No. Word, Phrase, Guided and Page all read the same document position, so switching mode mid-chapter keeps your bookmark where it was. Changing speed, theme or font does not move it either.

Are the visual exercises eye training?

No, and the app says so on the exercise screens. Visual Tracking and Visual Span are focus warm-ups. They are not eye therapy, they do not diagnose or treat anything, and transfer to ordinary reading is not guaranteed. If you have an eye or reading condition, see a professional rather than an app.

Where is my library stored, and is anything sent anywhere?

Everything you import, read, highlight and train is stored locally on your device. There is no account, no advertising and no analytics SDK — the privacy manifest declares no collected data types and no tracking. The only network requests ReadPace makes are the ones you start by importing a web article, and those are restricted to http and https on public hosts, with no cookies. iCloud sync is off until you turn it on, and then your library syncs through your own iCloud account, not through a server of ours.

What is free, and what does ReadPace Pro open?

Free: your whole library, importing every supported format, Page reading with no limit, the baseline assessment, 15 minutes of paced reading a day, four of the nine exercises, your basic history, the accessibility themes, and data export and deletion. ReadPace Pro opens unlimited paced reading, the full training curriculum, detailed progress, study tools, collections, iCloud sync, page scanning and the Warm Paper and Dusk themes. It is offered monthly, yearly with a free week, or as one lifetime purchase.

Can I get my data out, or delete it?

Both, and neither is behind Pro. Settings exports your library, sessions and exercise results as JSON, and lets you clear your history or delete everything. Deleting on device deletes it in iCloud too if sync is on.

How do I report a bug in ReadPace?

Email cihatsalik1@gmail.com with your device model, iOS or macOS version, the app version shown in Settings, and the steps that produce the problem. A screenshot or screen recording makes it far quicker to fix.

How do I restore a purchase?

Purchases are tied to the Apple ID that made them. Sign in with that Apple ID, open the purchase screen in the app and use Restore. If the restore does not complete, email cihatsalik1@gmail.com with the date of purchase.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are issued by Apple, not by the developer. Use Apple's "Report a Problem" page at reportaproblem.apple.com, or the refund flow in the App Store.

If ReadPace: Speed Reading & RSVP is your kind of thing, these live in the same neighbourhood — all made by the same pair of hands.
