Mecmua: Symmetry Drawing Pad

This privacy policy applies to the Mecmua app (the "Application") for iOS on iPad and iPhone, created by Cihat SALIK (the "Service Provider"). The Application is offered as a service and is intended for use "AS IS".

Mecmua is a symmetry drawing studio. Your drawings, the symmetry settings that produced them and your exports are created and kept on your device.

Every drawing is stored locally on your device as the record of the strokes you made. Rendering, undo history, previews and exports are all computed on the device by the GPU.

Your artwork is never uploaded to the Service Provider's servers or to any third-party service. The Service Provider cannot see, retrieve or delete it.

Mecmua includes an optional Passive mode in which the canvas keeps drawing in response to the sound around it. When you turn this mode on, and only then, the Application asks for microphone permission and reads the loudness of three frequency bands from the live audio.

No audio is recorded, saved, buffered for playback or transmitted anywhere. The microphone tap produces a few numbers per audio buffer, those numbers drive the drawing, and they are discarded immediately.

iOS provides no way for an app to read another app's audio output, so Passive mode hears music the same way it hears any other sound in the room. It does not read your music library or know what is playing. If you deny microphone permission, Passive mode still works — the canvas falls back to its own internal clock.

Mecmua accesses your photo library only when you export a drawing and ask for it to be saved, or when you import an image you choose as a starting point. This access is handled by Apple's system frameworks and the standard iOS permission prompts. Mecmua does not scan, index or upload your library.

Documents, layers, undo history, symmetry settings, palettes and your app preferences are stored locally on your device. Purchase state is provided by Apple's StoreKit. This data is not transmitted to the Service Provider for normal operation of the Application.

The Application does not show third-party advertising, does not require you to create an account with the Service Provider, and does not sell your personal information. If analytics or similar tools are added in a future version, this policy will be updated to describe them.

Mecmua is free to draw in. The optional one-time purchase that unlocks 8K export, video export, mirror counts above twelve and the full set of wallpaper groups is processed by Apple through the App Store. The Service Provider does not receive or store your payment card details. Apple's handling of purchases and restores is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through Mecmua. Because the Application draws and stores everything on the device and does not require an account, no personal information is transmitted to the Service Provider.

The security of your on-device artwork depends on your device passcode and biometric settings. The Service Provider recommends keeping iOS up to date and using the device security features offered by Apple.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating this page and the "Last updated" information where shown. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
