What is free, and what does the full version open?

Free: charts up to 10,000 stitches, up to 12 colours, a watermarked PNG preview and the project file, with no time limit and no account. The full version opens the tiled PDF chart, the DST and PES machine files, unlimited colours, full-size charts, the thread box and the finish-date forecast. It is a one-time purchase; a yearly subscription with a free trial is there if you prefer it.

Why does my chart look muddy in another app but not in Kanava?

Most converters pick threads by RGB distance, where two numerically close colours can be obviously different in thread. Kanava matches in CIELAB using Delta E 2000, which models how the eye compares two colours side by side, against all 455 shades in the palette.

The finished size is wrong for my fabric. What do I change?

Fabric count, stitch count and finished size are one set of three numbers on the same screen, and changing any one re-solves the other two. Set the count to the fabric you actually own first, then set either the stitch count or the finished size — the third follows and cannot drift out of agreement.

How do brick stitch and peyote charts differ from a cross stitch chart?

Each craft draws its own ground. Brick stitch and peyote are charted with the half-bead row offset and the real bead shape rather than a square grid, so the chart matches what you actually thread. Fuse beads are charted on a pegboard, with the board count and the number of bead bags worked out for you.

How many skeins or bags will I need?

The legend lists, per colour, the symbol, the shade number, the name, the stitch or bead count, and the skeins, bags or grams to buy. Set the number of strands you are working with, because that changes the skein estimate. The figures are guidance — dye lots and bead stock vary, so check them against your materials before buying.

Can I reduce the number of colours without wrecking the picture?

Yes. The cleanup slider trades detail against the number of threads you have to buy: it removes single stitches and merges short runs. Dithering is a separate switch for when you want it. Every change is undoable, and you can still edit any individual stitch afterwards with the brush, fill, picker and replace-a-colour tools.

Does Kanava send anything over the network?

Once. On first launch the app sends a single anonymous diagnostic message with the device model and name, iOS version, screen, hardware, locale, time zone and app version. Nothing about your photos, charts or usage is included, and nothing is sent afterwards. Charting, matching and export all run on the device. The privacy policy describes the message in full.

How do I report a bug in Kanava?

Email cihatsalik1@gmail.com with your device model, iOS or macOS version, the app version shown in Settings, and the steps that produce the problem. A screenshot or screen recording makes it far quicker to fix.

How do I restore a purchase?

Purchases are tied to the Apple ID that made them. Sign in with that Apple ID, open the purchase screen in the app and use Restore. If the restore does not complete, email cihatsalik1@gmail.com with the date of purchase.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are issued by Apple, not by the developer. Use Apple's "Report a Problem" page at reportaproblem.apple.com, or the refund flow in the App Store.
