Afterglow: Long Exposure Cam

This privacy policy applies to the Afterglow app (the "Application") for iOS on iPhone and iPad, created by Cihat SALIK (the "Service Provider"). The Application is offered as a service and is intended for use "AS IS".

Afterglow is a long exposure camera. It builds a photograph from hundreds of live camera frames, blends them on the device and lets you re-blend the result afterwards. Capture, blending, grading and export all happen on your device.

The camera is used only while a capture is running or the viewfinder is open. Frames are read, accumulated and written to the Application's own storage so a capture can be re-blended later. They are never uploaded, and the Service Provider has no way to see them.

Deny the camera permission and the Application cannot capture; nothing it has already made is affected.

Afterglow asks only for permission to add photos to your library. It does not request read access and does not scan, index or upload your photo library. The only images it puts there are the ones you choose to save.

Captures, their source frames, the blends and grades you applied and your app preferences are stored on the device in the Application's own storage. Discarding a capture removes its frames and frees the space.

Location is used only by the Tonight planner, to calculate golden hour, blue hour, the dark-sky window and moonrise and moonset where you are. The calculation runs on the device with no network request, and your coordinate is not stored in a photo unless you have iOS location tags enabled for your own camera roll. Deny the permission and every other part of the Application works as before.

Motion data is read from the device sensors to judge whether the phone is steady enough for a long exposure, and to level the horizon indicator. It is used in the moment and not stored or transmitted.

The Application contains no analytics or tracking SDK, no crash reporting service and no advertising, and it requires no account. It makes no network requests of its own: the only traffic it causes goes through Apple's StoreKit for purchases and restores.

If analytics or similar tools are added in a future version, this policy will be updated to describe them before that version ships.

Afterglow is free to download and to shoot with in its free modes. Afterglow Pro is offered as a one-time Lifetime unlock or as an annual subscription with a free trial, both with Family Sharing. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. The Service Provider does not receive or store your payment card details. Apple's handling of purchases, renewals and restores is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

Because the data is on your device, you control it directly. Delete a capture and its frames and settings go with it. Deleting the Application removes everything it stores from the device; photos you already saved to your library stay in your library, where you manage them in Photos.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through Afterglow. The Application stores everything on the device, requires no account and sends nothing to the Service Provider.

The security of your on-device captures depends on your device passcode and biometric settings. The Service Provider recommends keeping iOS up to date and using the device security features offered by Apple.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating this page and the "Last updated" information where shown. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
