Mnema

This privacy policy applies to the Mnema app (the "Application") for iOS and iPadOS on iPhone and iPad, created by Cihat SALIK (the "Service Provider"). The Application is offered as a service and is intended for use "AS IS".

Mnema is a second-brain app that combines an infinite canvas and a linked knowledge graph. Your documents, notes, boards, and object graph are stored on your device and, when iCloud is enabled, in your private CloudKit database.

Mnema stores your boards, notes, Mnems (knowledge graph objects), Threads (relationships), and all associated content locally on your device using SwiftData. When iCloud is available and enabled, this data is also synced to your private iCloud CloudKit database.

Your private CloudKit database is only accessible to you. The Service Provider does not have access to your iCloud storage or the content you create in Mnema. The Service Provider does not receive copies of your documents, notes, drawings, or graph data through the Application for normal operation.

Mnema uses Apple's PencilKit framework for freehand drawing on the infinite canvas. Strokes you draw are processed and stored locally on your device. Drawing data is never uploaded to the Service Provider's servers.

Mnema includes a Share Extension that lets you capture content from other apps directly into Mnema. Content shared through the extension is saved to the same on-device and iCloud storage described above. The extension does not send your content to the Service Provider.

Mnema may provide home screen and lock screen widgets. Widget data is sourced from your on-device storage via an App Group shared between the Application and its extension targets. No widget data is transmitted to the Service Provider.

The Application is not designed to show third-party advertising inside the app, does not require you to create an account with the Service Provider for core features, and does not sell your personal information. If analytics or similar tools are added in a future version, this policy will be updated to describe them.

If Mnema offers any paid features or subscriptions, payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. The Service Provider does not receive or store your payment card details. Apple's handling of purchases is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through Mnema. Because the Application stores your content only on your device and in your private iCloud, no personal information is transmitted to the Service Provider.

The security of your on-device data depends on your device passcode and biometric settings. iCloud data is protected by your Apple ID credentials and Apple's security infrastructure. The Service Provider recommends keeping iOS up to date and using the device security features offered by Apple.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating this page and the "Last updated" information where shown. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
