FocusWall

Privacy Policy

FocusWall is designed for privacy: your intent journal, profiles, and schedules stay on your iPhone or iPad.

Overview

This privacy policy applies to the FocusWall app (the "Application") for iOS on iPhone and iPad, created by Cihat SALIK (the "Service Provider"). The Application is offered as a free service and is intended for use "AS IS".

FocusWall helps you pause before opening apps you choose to manage using Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks. It does not use a VPN and does not install configuration profiles.

Data Stored on Your Device

FocusWall stores information you create in the app—such as intent journal entries, profile and schedule settings, and related preferences—locally on your device using SwiftData (and other on-device storage as implemented in the app).

This data is not transmitted to the Service Provider's servers by the Application for normal operation. The Service Provider does not receive copies of your journal text or your Screen Time selections through FocusWall.

Apple Screen Time and System Services

To apply app limits and shields, FocusWall relies on Apple's Screen Time, Family Controls, Managed Settings, and related system APIs. Those features are provided by Apple and governed by Apple's own terms and privacy practices.

Authorization and changes you make in iOS Settings or the system Screen Time UI may affect how blocking behaves. FocusWall does not filter or monitor web browsing in Safari unless Apple exposes such capabilities separately in the system.

Optional Locking (Face ID / Passcode)

If you enable optional protection for FocusWall settings, the app may use Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode through Apple's LocalAuthentication framework to restrict access to in-app settings. Biometric or passcode validation is handled on your device by iOS.

Analytics, Advertising, and Accounts

The Application is not designed to show third-party advertising inside the app, does not require you to create an account with the Service Provider for core features, and does not sell your personal information. If analytics or similar tools are added in a future version, this policy will be updated to describe them.

Children

The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through FocusWall. Parents and guardians who use Screen Time and Family Controls for family devices should refer to Apple's documentation for child accounts and parental controls.

If you believe information was collected from a child inappropriately, contact the Service Provider at cihatsalik1@gmail.com.

Security

The security of your on-device data depends on your device passcode, biometric settings, and whether you use optional app locking. The Service Provider recommends keeping iOS up to date and using device security features offered by Apple.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating this page and the "Last updated" information where shown. Continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
